Releasing ceremony of The Syntax – a technology publication by the Royal College Computer Society took place on Friday, 12th of July, 2019 in the Interactive Whiteboard Room of the College.
The project was initiated with hopes to enrich the passion, interest and knowledge of young Royalists in technology and to keep up with the latest trends in technology.
The releasing ceremony was held in the presence of The Principal, Senior Deputy Principal, Deputy Principals, Senior Master – Clubs and Societies, Teacher in-charge of the Society, ICT Academics Committee, Prefects and Members of the Society.
Chairman – Thaanu Perera delivered the welcome address, followed by the speech of the Teacher in-charge who briefed the progress the society has made in the past few months and appreciated the efforts of The Syntax project committee. Next, the first official copy of the magazine was ceremonially presented to The Principal officially commencing the sales of the magazine, followed by the Release of the Giveaway website. Finally, Secretary – Nadila Kulanatha delivered the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude to all stakeholders of the project. The ceremony was ended after the singing of the National Anthem.
