

Tesseract ’25 – Royal College Computer Society
Tesseract ’25 is the flagship educational outreach project of the Royal College Computer Society, conducted from February to September 2025. The project was designed as a year-long ICT development initiative consisting of seminars, workshops, and academic support programmes aimed at strengthening ICT education among students from primary level to Advanced Level.
Each activity was carefully planned and executed in collaboration with partner institutions, schools, and professional resource persons to ensure high educational value, accessibility, and long-term impact. The project successfully reached thousands of students across Sri Lanka through both physical and online platforms.
The first phase of Tesseract ’25 focused on supporting students preparing for the GCE Ordinary Level ICT examination.

All sessions were held from 8.00 p.m. onwards via Zoom with simultaneous YouTube live streaming. The seminar series collectively received approximately 1,500 YouTube views.

Cybots was a multi-phase robotics and programming initiative designed to introduce students to Python programming and practical robotics.

Organized in collaboration with the Old Royalists Engineering Professionals Association (OREPA).
Participants developed original robotics projects and submitted demonstration videos and source code. Final submission deadline was extended to 11 May 2025.
Approximately 70 Royal College students participated.

Awards were presented at the Bytesize Summit – 25th August 2025.
An online ICT support seminar was conducted on 22nd April 2025 via Zoom to assist Grade 10 and 11 students with term test preparation.
The seminar was conducted by Mrs. Nawodhani Samarasinghe, providing guidance on syllabus areas, exam techniques, and revision strategies.
A large-scale online seminar was held on 19th March 2025 from 8.00 p.m. onwards.

Grafflix ’25 was a creative design workshop series conducted with the Royal College Art Circle.
Post-workshop student groups were created for continuous guidance and creative sharing.
Tesseract ’25 strengthened ICT education across multiple academic levels, improved examination preparedness, encouraged creativity, and enhanced digital literacy. The project demonstrated RCCS’s commitment to building a technologically skilled and future-ready student community.
